Which Tour Rider is an independent fan site about cycling's Grand Tours. You don't need an account and we never ask for your name or email address. This page explains what data is still processed when you visit the site, why, and what your rights are.

Advertising and Google cookies
We show ads through Google AdSense. Google (Google Ireland Limited) and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, prevent fraud and, if you consent, tailor ads to your interests. In doing so, Google may process data such as your IP address, a cookie ID, your browser and device, and the pages you view.
Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked in a consent message whether Google may use cookies for advertising. You can change your choice later through the privacy and cookie settings link on the site. If you decline, you will see limited or non-personalised ads.

Analytics with PostHog (EU)
To understand how the site is used, we use PostHog. Our data is stored in PostHog's EU cloud in Frankfurt, Germany. PostHog records which pages you view, which site referred you, your browser, device and approximate country or region, and actions such as starting or finishing a quiz or sharing a result.
For this, PostHog stores a random ID in a cookie and in your browser's local storage, so that visits from the same device can be grouped together. We do not link this data to your name or email address and do not use it for advertising. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the site, and keep the data no longer than needed for that purpose.
Hosting, videos and storage in your browser
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, Vercel processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and keep the site secure.
Some pages embed YouTube videos in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). When such a video loads or plays, Google receives data such as your IP address, under Google's privacy policy.
Your tier list is saved only in your own browser (local storage) and is never sent to us. The share buttons are plain links: Facebook, X or WhatsApp receive nothing until you click one.
Transfers outside the EU
Google and Vercel may process data in the United States. Both participate in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and also rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object. You can withdraw consent for advertising cookies at any time through the privacy and cookie settings on the site. Because we don't know you by name, we may ask for extra information to find your data when you make a request.
If you have a complaint, we'd like to hear it first. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or with the authority in your own country.
